
Børge Brende is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.He was Deputy Chair of the Conservative Party from 1994-1998, and has been a member of Norway’s Parliament for more than 10 years. He previously served as Minister of the Environment and Minister of Trade and Industry. In 2008, Brende was appointed the Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva. He was Secretary General of Red Cross Norway from 2009 to 2011, before returning to the WEF in 2011. Brende was also Chair of the UN Commission of Sustainable Development from 2003–2004.
