Anna Kwok is an exiled Hong Kong activist based in Washington, DC. Anna currently serves as the Strategy and Campaign Director at Hong Kong Democracy Council (HKDC), the first DC-based nonpartisan nonprofit created during the 2019 Hong Kong pro-democracy movement. Prior to joining HKDC, she was one of the anonymous leaders of Hong Kong’s underground protest network. An initiative Anna spearheaded was a global newspaper campaign, featuring Hongkongers’ hopes for freedom and democracy, ahead of the 2019 G20 Summit. Anna was also involved with several grassroots groups to support Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement. Anna graduated from New York University, where she founded NYU’s Hong Kong Student Advocacy Group. Her latest mission is to strengthen the Hong Kong diaspora globally.
