
Anjan Sundaram is an award-winning journalist who has reported from Africa, Asia and the Middle East, covering topics from conflicts, political crises and rainforest communities in central Africa to artificial intelligence, the rise of nationalism in India and gun culture in Cambodia. He has reported for The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Associated Press and Fortune magazine and his writings have appeared in publications including The Guardian, Foreign Policy and the New York Review of Books. Sundaram has been a Television presenter for VICE and Channel News Asia and a guest on programs on CNN, France 24 and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, among others. Sundaram is the author of several books including Stringer: A Reporter’s Journey in the Congo and Bad News: Last Journalist in a Dictatorship. He has been a speaker at TED and past Oslo Freedom Forum events.
