Zhanna Nemtsova is a Russian journalist, social activist, and the daughter of Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, who was assassinated in 2015. Born in 1984, she gained international attention after her father’s death, becoming a vocal critic of the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin’s regime. Zhanna has worked for Deutsche Welle, the German public international broadcaster, focusing on Russian politics and social issues. She is also the founder of the Boris Nemtsov Foundation for Freedom, which aims to promote democracy, human rights, and freedom of speech in Russia. Her efforts extend to commemorating her father’s legacy and fighting for justice in Russia. Fluent in multiple languages, she is an influential figure in the global conversation about Russia’s political climate.
