Suay Ergin-Boulougouris

Senior programme officer, Europe and Central Asia, Article 19

Suay Ergin-Boulougouris is a human rights advocate, specializing in digital rights and free speech. She is currently a senior programme officer for Europe and Central Asia with Article 19, where she advocates against online censorship and campaigns for accountability and transparency in social media platforms’ policies and practices. Before joining Article 19 in 2018, Suay practiced law, advising international clients on corporate matters and regulatory compliance. She holds an LL.M. in International and European Law from Ghent University and a bachelor’s degree in law from Istanbul University. Ergin-Boulougouris was admitted to the Turkish Bar in 2013.
